Worship Fully

advent conspiracy 2015 - 3

WORSHIP FULLY! It starts with Jesus. It ends with Jesus. This is the attitude God had in mind for Christmas. It’s a season where we are supposed to lay down our problems and lift up a song to our God. It’s a season where love wins, peace reigns, and a king is celebrated with each breath. It’s the party of the year. Preparing for Advent and Christmas means having an overwhelming passion to worship Jesus to the fullest.

As followers of Jesus, we are supposed to be the people who can dream of new paths toward peace and reconciliation, paths unheard of or never tried before. We are called to be the people who live our lives as great stories and can share them with our friends, so that they too can live greater stories than they are living.

Mary’s story is one of daring risk, sacrifice, incredible faith and the power of love and family. It is a story for today. Mary’s “yes” to God changed the world forever. But it also changed her life right then and there. Mary faced rejection and the threat of a hostile response, including the possibility of stoning, from her community.

God placed people in Mary’s life, to walk with her on this journey. Joseph, her husband, followed God’s direction to care for his young wife. Mary’s cousin, Elizabeth, was her friend to whom she could tell anything during God’s incredible move into humanity. Family circled around Mary. The world changed forever.

Mary worshipped God fully, allowing Him to have everything in her life. And because she did this, we now celebrate the Son’s birth. What an example the first Christmas sets for us. I pray that as we walk through the next four weeks preparing for Advent and Christmas, we take some risks so that we can join Mary in saying “yes” to God. You never know, maybe the world can be changed again!

What if Christmas was no longer about stuff? What if, this Christmas, we worship fully?

Breathe Peace,

  1. This Blog, hit my heart so dearly, after the last several years , where Christmas and all the holidays were so sad and depressing, life has turned into different directions, still not easy, but thankful for my past memories, as I will forever hold them dearly in my heart.
This year moving forward with prayerfully a Faith that will be first and foremost. A new husband that could put God first in our life , and to continue to bring our children up in your word and Love. The strength that only His love can give each of us.
I pray this Christmas that each of His children can be uplifted in His word and Love.
    Pray, Praise and give thanks.
    To God be the Glory
    In Jesus name.
    Love
    Melanie and family
